Hey! Nice to have you back. There is so much music in this post I’ve not listened to. There’s just too much to keep track of. I’m going to get stuck into the top 50 album playlist, I think so thanks for that.

I made a similar playlist featuring songs from my top 40 albums in case you are interested. They might not all be objectively good, but I love them.

I will have to give Fat Dog another chance. I really enjoyed them live and didn’t really connect with the album at all - but the fact you and Gabbie are so enthusiastic about it makes me think I must be missing something. I also enjoyed the Ezra Collective album, but not as much as their previous one.

And in the spirit of most EOY list comments:

No Jessica Pratt?! This is an outrage.

It’s the intensity of the Fat Dog record for me. Maybe if you get a chance to play it loud through headphones, or one of Gabbie’s suggestions.

I like the “Could this record be used to describe my dog?” metric too.

I would really recommend listening to the record start to finish in a sitting with few distractions, maybe on a walk or while exercising. it's short!

I like the trend towards short albums this year. Apart from Cindy Lee. Very short and very long = good. Like my dog!
